Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is a fashion event where hundreds of stores -including the most luxurious ones- open their doors at night and offer incredible discounts.
The first edition took place in 2009 and it is now celebrated in various countries at the same time: USA, UK, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Portugal, Russia and Spain, among others. It has thus become an international fashion event where all the fashion designers, bloggers and celebrities meet up to celebrate their passion for fashion. It is also a chance for us to enter some luxurious stores that on a normal day we probably wouldn’t.
On the 18th of September, Vogue celebrated the 6th edition of Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Madrid. More than 180 stores participated in the event such as: Loewe, Aristocrazy, Michael Kors, Oysho, Mango, Pretty Ballerinas, etc., and offered amazing discounts on the Fall/Winter 14-15 collections.
Not only fashion brands participated but also beauty brands like Bobbi Brown, M·A·C, Redken, Juicy Couture or Kiko Milano. Vogue Fashion’s Night Out was also online, where it was possible to buy the best fashion brands at a special price for 24 hours.
We didn’t want to miss the event this year so we decided to go and discover what was going on out there. Madrid’s best neighbourhoods, Salamanca and Fuencarral, became the meeting point for all the fashion lovers and the most daring looks. In fact, some of the best fashion brands were looking for the best street style outfits and the pictures they took were posted on Vogue’s website. When we arrived to Ortega y Gasset street, there were different shows, presents, live music, and free drinks that lasted until midnight. There were also flashes all around us, journalists, some famous bloggers being chased by 2 or 3 photographers… We ordered a free Gin&Tonic in one of Loewe’s stores and started enjoying the night.
Some of the stores that we visited that had special events were:
- Michael Kors was raffling a handbag.
- Ángela Navarro -a hairdresser specialized in women with cancer- was offering a change of look.
- Trucco -a Spanish clothing and accessories brand- was offering a nice foulard for each purchase.
- Seat -a Spanish car brand- was presenting the new Seat Mii by Mango and we took a free tour around the city! That was pretty fun:)
Vogue Fashion’s Night Out is a different night in the Spanish capital city, where everyone can enjoy fashion from the most luxurious brands to the more casual ones. It is the chance to see different styles reunited in the same place and sharing the passion for the same thing. Don’t miss the next one! We definitely won’t.
