Let your eyes peruse south to our Mad4Madrid New Year’s Eve in Madrid Last Supper 2016 Thank God That’s Over Menu del Día. Or M4MNYEMLS2016TGTOMD for short. Menu includes an excess of drink, postre, and 6 plans to make this New Year’s Eve in Madrid your best yet. Bon Appetit!

Your days are numbered.

That’s right 2016, it’s December and your time is almost up. This hasn’t been our favourite year here at Mad4Madrid (don’t worry we’ll spare you the headache of an article on why). But at least we can put things behind us and edge cautiously into 2017 like a hippo trying to ice skate on a frozen lake.

The world is a scary place right now. But we do all still live in Madrid. That magical city that pulses with tradition, culture, art and events. And before we the whole planet falls into a chasm of Islamophobic-greenhouse-brexit-all-the-bees-are-dead-trumpaggedon (which I’m thinking will be sometime around April) we can still celebrate all of what has been good about the last 12 months, and leave 2016 with a sigh of “yes, well that happened.”

So without further ado, please let your eyes peruse south to our Mad4Madrid New Year’s Eve in Madrid Last Supper 2016 Thank God That’s Over Menu del Día. Or M4MNYEMLS2016TGTOMD for short.

Aperitivo: Madrid New Years for the hungry partygoer

When it comes to New Year’s Eve in Madrid you should get what you deserve. Freedom and flexibility with the venue. And the vibes you love rather (not a Macbook hooked up to a tinny sound system playing Top40 2010).

Don’t tie yourself down to a shady offer of “open bar” à la Kapital or Joy Esclava. Madrid Enjoy offers hassle free plans for this New Year’s Eve in Madrid with 3 club entrances with 3 drinks for only 30€.

Kick off the night in Puerta del Sol, the centre of Spain and Madrid’s answer to the New Year’s Eve countdown in Times Square. See 1866 clock tower that once kept standard time across the county ring in the new year. And forget your 12 grapes (more here for that particular Spanish tradition)!

It’s 2017! Now lets have some fun.

Madrid Enjoy lands you entrance to three classic Madrid clubs: La Cartuja (Calle de la Cruz, 10), Samsara (Calle de la Cruz, 7), and Manama (C/ Barcelona, 14). Dodge the queues of punters waiting to pay at the ticket booth and head in for a night of EDM, reggaeton, and pachangueo at three unique venues. Go big or go home.

Entrante: Bring me my brunch!

It’s no lie. Brunch has been the buzzword on everyone’s lips in Madrid this year. From block long queues for a table at Federal, to Sunday rooftop sundown parties at Comba. If you went anywhere in 2016, we really hope it was to brunch.

This New Year’s Eve in Madrid, we’ve found 2 very special brunch menus to whet your appetite and get you roll in ’17.

Option 1

For a tropical twist on the classic concept head over to La Candelita (Calle del Barquillo, 30 <M> Chueca: L5). Get your creole celebration off and running with glass of champagne and aperitif. For starters there’s a Artichoke tartar with tomato, mango and ginger chutney, topped with spicy king prawns. Then it’s seasonal specialities for mains- we recommend the seared pork cheek over chestnut puree with black truffle oil. But we’ll leave the decision making up to you.

For desert there’s a tart 70% coco chocolate bizcocho with ponche crema– a Venezuelan Christmas tradition made from milk, eggs, sugar, rum, vanilla and nutmeg. Or cured cheeseboard if savory’s more your thing.

All this Madrid New Year’s magic comes at a price of 100€ and starts at 20:30. Includes Brut and grapes for when the clock strikes 12.

Option 2

If you were hoping for something a little more upbeat then boy do we have something for you. After Brunch have spent a very successful year of making Sunday the new Saturday night with their series of incredible events at Conde Duque, Circo de Bellas Artes, and ME Madrid Reina Victoria (that big, white hotel in Santa Ana with the views). Now it’s time to celebrate.

After Brunch invites you to join them at the Mamita Taqueria on December 31, NYE, to take a final bite out of 2016.

Come at 21:30 for a welcome cocktail, open bar of beer, wine, champagne and a brunch to end all brunches (or at least those that happened the last 12 months).

Then at 00:00 the party gets taken to a whole new level. 2 rooms, 2 DJs and a super trendy vibe. We’re talking speakeasy style.

The dinner and party can be purchased as one ticket for 55€. Or come after 00:00 to just the party for 15€ 1 drink or 20€ 2 drinks.

Don’t get locked out! Tickets can only be purchased directly from Mamita Taquería. Contact (+34) 600 289 915 for more information.
