Wildlife Photographer of the Year promotes the work of nature photographers, both professionals and amateurs. Presenting 13 awards to participating adults in different categories, & a total of 4 to young photographers.
The prize categories in this competition are Diversity on Land: Mammals, Birds, Amphibians and Reptiles, Invertebrates and Plants, Earth’s Environments: Underwater, Land and Urban, Earth’s Design: Details, Impressions, and Black and White, in addition to a new documentary category this year, presenting awards for individual photography and reporting to the Best nature photo journalist.
Among the images selected, an overall winner will then be chosen in the adults’ and children’s categories.
Most of all this exhibition will feature some astonishing images that seeks to convey the beauty of nature and promote respect and knowledge of natural life. Society today is increasingly concerned about the protection and conservation of nature, and this annual competition raises awareness about the threats facing our natural environment.
