RNE and La Casa Encendida of Fundación Montemadrid presents Radioficción “Lorquiana”. To pay tribute to Federico García Lorca and Margarita Xirgu a as solid creative couple, probably the most prominent of the Spain of the 20s and 30s. With a sound fiction that reflects their relationship that extended over ten years. We will know a little more about the poet and his muse, but we will also delve into the creative process of the main dramas such as “Yerma”, “Bodas de sangre” or ” Bernarda Alba’s house”. “Lorquiana” is not only a tribute to Federico García Lorca and Margarita Xirgu, it is also an opportunity to review the work of one of the greatest writers of all time and to make known the work of an immense and courageous actress. A journey through the history of Spain and the fascinating gallery of characters that surrounded the couple.
On November 29th, at La Casa Encendida and broadcast on Radio 3, will embark on a trip that will take us on a tour through the best theaters in Madrid and Barcelona. We will attend rehearsals, readings, premieres and with the help of Xirgu and García Lorca we will experience rural dramas, harsh tragedies, violent farces, surrealist lyricism and sour desires.
