Ponzaning meets the Slowcooker: A New Tapas Trail Hits Chamberí

This week Madrid’s foremost foodie street, Calle Ponzano, embarks on a brand new journey: The First Slow Cooking Tapas Trail by CrockPot & Oster. With exquisite tapas from Spain and abroad, now’s the time to get on your hiking books, loosen your belt and settle in an epic gastro-journey.

Ponzaning meets the Slowcooker: A New Tapas Trail Hits Chamberí

Some time ago we did an article on Calle Ponzano’s unbeatable tapas scene. So naturally when we hear about this one we got really, really, excited. From the 22nd of November to the 4th of December, 16 emblematic establishments in the district of Chamberí will be ponzaning together for the 1st Low Heat Tapas Trail by CrockPot & Oster.

The event is based around the technique of slow cooking, or cooking with a flow flame over a prolonged time. A process which brings out delicate textures and intense flavours from the ingredients used. Along this tantalising trail enjoy tapas that are from local and traditional, to refined and exotic, to the plain innovative, like octopus fondant with quail’s yolk, all for a price of between 2.80€ and 5€ (drinks sold separately).

But it doesn’t stop there. Vote for your favourite ponzaning tapa online and you could win excellent prizes! Just follow the steps below:

  • Log on to crockponzaning and rate the taps you have tried with the 5 star rating system (5 if you loved it; 1 if you couldn’t stand it). You can only vote once per tapa.
  • After you’ve rated the tapa or tapas, fill out the details below with your name and email and send off your vote.
  • The organisation will contact the winners of the prize draw via email, and will also announce them on CrackPot and Oster’s Facebook page.
