Círculo de Bellas Artes presents work of the photographer Nathalie Daoust. This Canadian photographer, born and raised in Montreal, has devoted all of her art to unveiling the secrets hidden beneath the apparent stability of life. Her most recent project Korean Dreams presents a complex series of photographs that investigates the disquieting vacuity of North Korea. The images reveal a country that seems to exist outside of time, immersed in a carefully choreographed illusion.
Nathalie Daoust through the exhibition Korean Dreams aims to make us distrust the truths that we believe immutable simply by the fact of being able to contemplate them. The resulting images of her work speak of the North Korean society, of the lost information, the hidden truth and the manipulation of it.
