Throughout the history of the Nobel Prizes, 12 women have been awarded in Medicine or Physiology, 14 in Literature, 2 in Physics, 4 in Chemistry and 16 with the Nobel Peace Prize. Mujeres Nobel exhibition focuses on eleven of them out of the 48 of them awarded to women. The aim is to underline to the society, especially to youth, women who have fought for an ideal world. And have become world leaders in various disciplines. Also to highlight the fruits of study, effort, teamwork, generosity, social commitment and solidarity.
This exhibition is organized by Rocaviva Events, Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales and the Superior Council of Scientific Investigations. The exhibition, curated by Belén Yuste and Sonnia L. Rivas-Caballero. The exhibition also includes two women who were on the verge of winning the award: Irena Sendler and Concha Espina. Likewise, homage is paid to Alfred Nobel himself, a philanthropist who bequeathed to the world the most prestigious prizes.
