If you need to get out of the busy city and tap into your inner Bear Grylls (minus the dangerous foraging) and want to keep your knowledge of basic survival skills required to a minimum, then these Nature Observation events are for you.
Lagunas de Velilla, which is a short distance from the outskirts of Madrid, holds some of the most diverse populations of birds on the continent (over 280 different species to be exact). The event has taken place the previous Sunday, and will be held most Sundays during the summer. They also hold many other type of animal observation trips, including deer sightings, for example, at Monte de el Pardo.
