The Círculo de Bellas Artes presents Federico Fellini: Dream and design Exhibition. This exhibit shows the complexity and greatness of one of the most eminent filmmakers in the history of film, by looking at his dreams and his drawings. The Italian film director Federico Fellini (Rimini, 1920 – 1993, Rome) is the subject of this exhibition. He was an Italian film director and screenwriter known for his distinct style that blends fantasy and baroque images with earthiness, he is recognized as one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time.
The documentary exhibition will show photographs of shooting, original drawings, projections and unpublished material, and will bring visitors closer to the Italian scriptwriter and film director whose thread is crossed by the dream, the erotic and his obsession with drawing.Fellini daily reflected his dreams in a diary, which he called The book of dreams. This shows the importance of the subconscious mind in the life of the filmmaker, whose other obsessions included the quasi-mechanical practice of drawing.
