Once Christmas time begins, the streets of Madrid light up at night with thousand of colors and shapes designed by popular Spanish fashion designers. Millions of small led lights decorate the streets during this magical season in the heart of Spain.
Route 1: Chamberí – Chueca
You can start on Gran vía, next to Montera street. You will see a big Christmas tree and the amazing lights of the one of the most important avenues in Madrid. On this route you will see also the tree of Callao, Plaza de España, Chamberí district, the area of Alonso Martínez and also Plaza de Colón. The part of the Castellana is very nice to see at night. Finally, Cibeles and then Gran Via again.

Route 2: Center
Sol, the most popular meeting point of the city, is our start and there you will see the biggest Christmas tree in the city center. You will see the beautiful Calle Mayor, which ends at the Almudena Cathedral. You will see later the Royal Palace and later Plaza de España. You can start from here walking down Gran Vía and see the amazing lights and atmosphere of the avenue. Keep walking until you reach Cibeles and then take a right to see Paseo del Prado. You will finish again in Sol.
Route 3: Salamanca
Madrid is much more than the city center. Start in Cibeles and walk a bit to reach Puerta de Alcalá. Keep walking and go through Príncipe de Vergara Street. Take a look to the Christmas decoration stores in this area, you will enjoy it. Later from Juan Bravo street to Serrano, one of the most luxury streets in Europe. Then a little bit walking in Paseo de la Castellana and finising in Cibeles again.
