Creative Eating in Chamberí with La Gabinoteca

Creative eating in Chamberí with La Gabinoteca! If you find yourself in this neighborhood, and you’re hungry and want to try something new, we recommend La Gabinoteca for so many reasons! Number one being that it’s delicious!

Some restaurants have that special something that makes you scratch your head, and wonder ‘hmph, I wonder what that would taste like?’ and then of course, you order it to find out! The menu options at La Gabinoteca will both intrigue and excite you! It’s located in the Chamberí neighborhood exactly parallel to the infamous Ponzano street. (If you haven’t heard of Calle Ponzano, where have you been?!) That said, it’s the perfect place to start your evening with friends, and end the night singing, skipping, and walking merrily down Ponzano after a few choice beverages! We recommend making a reservation if you’re a large group, or if you’re looking to go during peak time slots on the weekends. Although the restaurant is quite large, it fills up very quickly! Now to the most important part: the food of course! There were 8 of us in total, so we got to share the food, and try lots of different dishes! Although we didn’t make it through the entire menu, I’m willing to bet we’ll be back there soon, and up to the challenge. We tried the Chicken Ceasar Salad, Taco pato, grilled octopus, hipster red meat, gyoza of ropavieja and wild mushroom ramen. El potito which is egg, truffle and potato is a must-have! For dessert, we dove into the apple pie, birthday cake, sticky toffee pudding and the Juan Palomo… order it, we dare you!
