For the Pizza Lover on a Tight Budget: Aiò
Best Pizza in Madrid: Tribunal
Price: < 15 Euros
Location: C/ Corredera Baja de San Pablo, 25, 28004 Madrid
Drink of choice: Aperol Spritz
Menu of the day: Yes! 9,50€ For a starter, main, bread, drink and coffee/tea
Insider Tip: They host a traditional Italian aperitif– purchase a cocktail (preferably an Aperol Spritz of course) and eat all the pizzetas, risotto and pasta you want! They menu of the day is a great deal, but keep in mind that the price goes up to 12,50€ on the weekends. Aiò is a Malasaña staple, and their food is tasty, authentic, and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a place to get the most bang for your buck, check them out!
For the Foodie With an Exotic Palate: Mastropiero
The Tastiest Pizza in Madrid: Malasaña
Price: < 20€
Location: Calle de San Vicente Ferrer, 36, 28004 Madrid
Drink of choice: Chato de vino, of course!
Menu of the day: No! But they give every customer who orders a pizza a free dessert with homemade dulce de leche!
We’ve tried the pizza at Mastropiero several times, and each time not only is it packed, they food tastes even better than the last time! If you’re more of an adventurous eater, try the anchovy pizza, or even Galician octopus pizza. The cool thing about Mastropiero is that you can order your pizzas with two different flavors, so half/half which is great for sharing! Our favorite was the erótica which dons onion, roquefort cheese, celery salt, walnuts and mozzarella. We can also recommend the champi which has black olives, mushrooms, tomato sauce, garlic and mozzarella. Try it for yourself! The pizzas come in two sizes, and the small was more than enough for 1 or 2 people depending on how hungry you are!
For the Lover of Both Food & Ambience: El Imparcial
The Most Delicious Pizza in Madrid: La Latina
Price: < 25€
Location: Calle Duque de Alba, 4, 28012 Madrid
Metro: Tirso de Molina
Drink of Choice: Their cocktails are wonderful!
Menu of the day: Yes! It changes daily, so keep that in mind! The cost is 14€
Insider tip: The store on the first floor has tons of books, magazines and trinkets that any lover of design will adore! Take a look downstairs before heading up to the restaurant! If you can, try to grab a window seat, the natural light definitely adds to the dining experience! We’ve tried the pear and rocket pizza, and were so satisfied! Great portions, and fresh ingredients!
